Beverly Jean Swarvar was born on October 28, 1927 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Earl and Freda (Whetstone) Gilmore and passed away on July 14, 2011. Beverly worked as a secretary at General Telephone. After raising her children, she worked at Churchill School and retired from Fox (Budds) Jewelry in 1989. She loved her family, her flower garden and fishing, especially with her father in her younger years. She met her husband Gene in 1948. They were married September 16, 1950 at the First Baptist Church, downtown Muskegon. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Roy; sister, Ruth; and her son Jeffery Swarvar. Beverly is survived by her husband, Gene; three children, Kenneth Swarvar, Laura (David) Korndorfer and Dr. Daniel Swarvar; grandsons, Robert Swarvar, Orrie Korndorfer and Jesse Korndorfer; granddaughter, Shandon Swarvar. According to her wishes, a private graveside service was held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. Interment was next to her infant son Jeffery Swarvar. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Mercy VNS and Hospice, The American Cancer Society, or Muskegon Rescue Mission.
