

Beverly was born August 10, 1932, the daughter of Jennings and Dorothy Palmer. She married Stanley C. Swears on July 18, 1953. Together they enjoyed 66 years of marriage until his death in 2020. Beverly was the owner of Swears Accounting Inc. for 44 years. She was a member of the Muskegon Eagles #668 where she participated on the drill and ritual team. She also regularly attended St. Mary’s of the Woods Catholic church, where she volunteered her time at their annual chicken dinner festival. Beverly earned the Mother of the Year award in 1992 as well. She enjoyed bowling, traveling and most of all being with her family. She was a compassionate, loving, wise, approachable woman who will be deeply missed.
Beverly is survived by: her children, Deborah Chatfield, Denise Felt, Deanna Stevens (Dan Adsit), Steven Swears, Dawn Burrington (Tony Burrington), Stanley (Dawn) Swears Jr. and Alyson Swears; 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Grennan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; brother, Barry (Delores) Palmer; and brother-in-law, Dr. Lawrence Grennan.
Visitation will take place from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, November 12, 2021 at St. Mary’s of the Woods 150 Church St. Twin Lake MI 49457. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with a luncheon to follow next to the cemetery at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel 1783 E Keating Avenue Muskegon 49442.
