Nick was born September 3, 1948, the son of Francis and Virginia Gelderloos. October 14, 1972, he married his sweetheart Barbara Cunningham and together they enjoyed 37 years of marriage and raised their children until her passing in 2009. He worked hard to support his family, owning & operating B&B Video for 13 years, while working as a steel buyer at Shape Corp. until his retirement.
He enjoyed sports and would attend the Detroit Tigers and Lions events along with visiting Ravenna and Oakridge high school football games with family and friends. When he was able to get out and play, he was an extraordinary bowler, fisherman and golfer. In the summers, he loved to toil in his gardens and share the fruits of his labor with family and friends. Later in life, he took great pleasure in watching his grandchildren in their activities, cranking up the oldies and singing or whistling along to his favorite songs or kicking his feet up and watching old westerns and classics. Nick will always be known for his wit, charisma, strong-will, listening ear and his generous heart of gold.
