She was born to Andrew "Jack" and June (Brown) Flowers on November 14th, 1937, in Six Lakes, MI. They moved to Muskegon, where her heart found James G. Johnson's, and they were wed July 3rd, 1964.
Connie's heart was too big not to share, and everyone who knew her knew that to be God's truth. Whether you met her at the CB Club in Muskegon, D&W (where she gave 21 years), as a bus driver for Muskegon Christian, or just had the luck of knowing her, there can be no doubt that her love was wholly felt. She would go to any length, unprompted, to help her fellow man (proven by her years of donating blood to the American Red Cross, numerous rides, care packages to those in need, and more). Her smile, often mischievous, was heart-warming, and her laugh had the power to lighten the weariest of souls. Her fierce love and wit endeared her to more people than her family will ever know, and the weight of her loss will be carried by all of us who were gifted the opportunity to love her.
In the Lord's arms, Welcoming her home are her husband Jim; parents Jack and June; and brothers Marvin, Gary, Bryan, and Kevin.
Mourning her loss are her three children, Lori (Damon) Heethuis, James G (Dawn) Johnson II, and Troy (Kimberly) Johnson; grandchildren, Alyssa (Christopher) Gundy, Jade (Cole) Nevarez, Sierra Johnson, Breanna Johnson, Miyah Johnson, Alex, Gabriel, Angelo, and Dionicia Corona; great-grandchildren, Jameson and Lara Gundy, and Noah Nevarez; siblings Jack, Linda, Terri, Donald, and Janet; her extended family, and all those who called her "Grandma" or friend.
Due to Covid restrictions, the family will hold an outdoor service and luncheon in late May and will be announced in the Chronicle, Facebook, and Ever Rest's website.
