
Dale P. Brodrick, age 78 of Muskegon, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015. He was born on May 15, 1936 to Gordon and Christine Brodrick in Ludington, MI. Dale graduated from North Muskegon High School in 1954. He then joined the Navy and proudly served our country from 1954-1958 as a Lithographer on the U.S.S. St. Paul in Korea. Dale was a lifetime member of VFW Post 446, where he served on the honor guard and was also a member of the Lakeside Eagles. He worked for S.D. Warren for 29 years in the finishing department. In his spare time, Dale enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved to watch NASCAR and his Detroit Tigers. Dale’s family was the center of his life and he loved spending time with them. Dale is preceded in death by his parents; and his former wife of 44 years, Karen Brodrick. He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Sandra (Bowen) Brodrick; his daughter, Kimberly (David) Martinez; his step children, Ken (Tami) McComb, Scott McComb, and Julie (Allen) Bersonnet; his granddaughter, Lexy; many step grandchildren; his sister, Katherine (Lee) Schulz; his sister-in-law, LaVonne (Gary) Carlisle; and several nieces and nephews. A service for Dale will be on Thursday, January 8, 2014 at 1 pm at VFW Post 446, 165 S. Getty St. in Muskegon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
