David A Pickett, age 70, passed away on September 14, 2017 in Muskegon, MI with his loving family by his side. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and strength to maintain it during his most difficult time.
David was born on March 24, 1947 in Black Oak, AR to Clarence and Evelyn Pickett, who preceded him in death. David moved to Michigan when he was 3 yrs old and resided in the Whitehall area for most of his life. In his younger years he was known for his 1964 GTO. He replaced many transmissions but never lost a race. He retired from Consumers Energy after 30 years where he worked as an Engineer.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon (Lalonde); 4 children, David (Melanie) Pickett, Shantelle (Ron) Yahne, Amanda (Jack) Spitler and Aaron (Shelly) Pickett; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 3 brothers, John, Bob and Mark. He is also survived by his special sister in law, Debi Plunkett.
