David was a graduate of Oakridge High School and then went on to work for over 20 years as a drummer and softball umpire. He had a real passion for music and had been a drummer since he was 16 years old. He enjoyed everything about softball. He loved coaching and being an umpire. David was the most selfless and caring man. He would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. David will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
David is survived by: children, Miranda Vandervort, Kathy Vandervort, Jason McElfish, and Kara Lenord; grandchildren, Josie Wilks and Ellie Wilks; and mother, Gene Vandervort.
In accordance with David’s wishes cremation will take place and there are no memorial services planned at this time.
