He was preceded in his journey to God by: his mother, Kay Lafond; sister, Barbie Adams; his second mother, Karen McIlrath; and his father, Dick McIlrath.
He is survived by: daughter, Allie McIlrath; two beloved grandchildren, Dianna and Avan; his sisters Cindy (Jeff) Bolduc, Candy (Steve) Oliva McIlrath, and Kristine (Lee) Lee; his brother Jim McIlrath; many nieces and nephews, and many close friends that became family.
Dean was the life of every party, always present for whomever needed him, friendly to all, and an amazing father and grandfather. He will be missed more than he could ever know. Remembering him at his best, laughing, dancing, his smile, the way his hair stood up, the way he sat, and the way he loved. No man loved more freely than him.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later disclosed time.
