Donald E. Knauf

Donald Edward Knauf was born at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon on April 25, 1919 to the late Carl D. and Alice G. (Rife) Knauf. Donald was also preceded in death by his wife of 35, Evelyn and a sister, Helen Johnson. Donald is survived by his brother, Norman C. Knauf, of Muskegon; sister, Vivian E. Sicard, of Evansville, IN; step-sons, Gene (Jeanne) Lowder, of Twin Lake, William (Suzanne) Lowder, of Coopersville; Cathy (Rich) Rop, of Muskegon. Donald was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp through World War II and the Army Signal Corp through the Korean Conflict. He is a Past Commander & Life Member of the VFW Post 446 where he has been a member since November 28, 1945. Funeral Services will be held at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Harbor Hospice.
