Donald “Don” Terrill, 86, returned to his heavenly home on November 10, 2019 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease and Congestive Heart Failure. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Don was born on June 23,1933, in Gallatin, Missouri, to George W Terrill and Lizzie Belle (Holmes) Terrill. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving his country in the US Army for 2 years. A true family man, he dedicated about 35 years to GTE where he worked as a telephone office equipment installer. On June 20, 1959, he married the love of his life, Arlene A (Cilla) Terrill. Together they cherished 60 years of marriage full of love and laughter. Don was a soft-spoken kind gentle man with a gift of giving; he was always willing to help others when he saw a need.
Don is survived by his wife, Arlene; his daughters Christina (Thomas) Beck and Karen (Jesus) Zavala; his grandchildren Andrew (Kara) Terrill, Jessica (Nick) Balagna, Sara Zavala, Raquel Zavala; and his brother Jule (Beverly) Terrill. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Doris Hill and Lois Houghton.
