Donna M. Ruiz

Donna Marie Ruiz, age 81 of Muskegon, passed away Wednesday, October 08, 2014 at Harbor Hospice Poppen House Residence. Donna was born on August 27, 1933 to her parents, Everett John and Minnie Maryanna (Baade) Hadenfeldt, in Cairo, Nebraska. She was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and St. Thomas Catholic Church in Muskegon, MI. Donna loved spending time with family and friends and thoroughly enjoyed her life. Donna had many great friends across the country. She also loved to craft, make Christmas cookies, enjoyed BBQ’s with family, she loved all sports, and she liked to relish in all that the state of Michigan has to offer. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Minnie Hadenfeldt; her husband, Manuel Ruiz Jr.; and brother, Jack Lee Hadenfeldt. She is survived by her children, Everett (Lisa) Manuel of San Diego, and Edward (Ann) Allen of Muskegon; 3 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; and 2 great grandsons. A funeral service for Donna will be Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 1 PM at Ever Rest Funeral Home, 1783 E. Keating Ave. in Muskegon. Visitation will be at Ever Rest, prior to the service, from 11-1 PM. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Red Cross and Fruitport Fraternal Eagles.
