Mrs. Dorothy May Burke, age 83, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2011. She was born in Alabama on January 31, 1927 to Oscar and Melinda (Mason) Colbert. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Arthur, Sr.; four children, Arthur (Judith) Burke, Jr. of Fruitport, Gary (Linda Carol) Burke of Naples, FL, Linda (Peter) Burke-Meilinger of Fruitport and Theresa (Lewis) Leonard of Okemos, MI; four grandchildren, Ronda (Mark) Nielsen, Arthur Ross III (Michelle) Burke, Richard (Lisa) Burke and Halie Leonard; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Oscar (Lois) Colbert of Muskegon; sister, Nellie (Al) Junoe of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews. Dorothy had worked at Meijers for 20 years. Private family services will be held. Burial at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association.
