Ed was born September 26, 1946, the son of Robert and Clara Field. Ed was a 1964 graduate of Orchard View High School. He then went on to serve his country proudly in the US Army. After leaving the military Ed returned to Muskegon where he continued to work and raise his family. Ed liked to keep busy and was a hard worker holding many positions over the years including: Dresser, Rickerts Blacktop, owner of E&J Beauty Supply, and as a building inspector for Egelston Township. He enjoyed woodworking, trips up north, playing cards, and going to the casino. He was a strong, protective, quiet, well-liked man who will be deeply missed.
Ed is survived by: his long time partner, Robbyn Chidester; children, Sheri (Raymond) Pierson, Lisa (Brian) Eacker, and Staci (Bill) Brown; grandchildren, Shelby, Michael (Katie), Joshua, Justin, Mitchell (Brittany), Kyle, Derek, Allison, William, Charles, and Hannah; 8 great-grandchildren; and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by: his daughter, Lori Field; and his parents.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and no public services will be held.
