Eleanor Colvin, age 99 of Muskegon, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in Muskegon. She was born on July 18, 1915 in Shelby, MI to Richard and Della (Shirts) Hammond. Eleanor married John Colvin on September 22, 1935. She enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors, and cooking. Eleanor is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Colvin; her son, Terry Colvin; and her son-in-law, William Rake. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Rake; her daughter-in-law, Kay Colvin; her grandchildren, Rita (Bob) Sikkenga, Tammy (Jeff) Peterson, Randy (Anna) Rake, Dean (Amy) Rake, Marty (Laurie) Colvin, and Nick Colvin; 15 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren. Per Eleanor’s wishes, there will be no services.
