With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved baby boy, Elijah Johnathan DeVries, who was born on October 8, 2025, in Muskegon and went to be with the angels on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
In his short time on earth, Elijah brought endless love, hope, and joy to our family. Though we did not have as much time as we wished, we will forever cherish every moment — every kick, every smile, and every breath.
Elijah is survived by his loving parents, Cedric James DeVries and Virginia St. Clair; his siblings, Damon Salvatore and Lawrence Christopher; his grandparents, Jacob (Mary) Tully and Jonathan Horan; his uncles, Ryan DeVries, C.J. Hamby, and Sammie Trammell; his aunt, Ayana DeVries; and many, many other loving family members who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Ever Rest Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Dave Celeskey. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
