Ellen Mozelle Wallace

Ellen “Sheena” Mozelle (Chivis) Wallace, age 87, passed away on May 9, 2015. She was born to the union of Albert P. and Mozelle E. (Hall) Chivis on June 9, 1927 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was joined in holy matrimony to Milton Lester Wallace, Sr. on September 13, 1947 in Grand Rapids. To this union were born two daughters, Barbara and Linda, and one son, Milton Jr. Ellen lived a vibrant life and will be remembered for her big heartedness, kindness and her “ready and willing” to help attitude. She retired from Sears after many years. She leaves to honor her memory, her children Barbara A. Harrison, Linda J. Wallace, and Milton L. (Carolyn) Wallace, Jr.; special daughter, Tina Harrison; grandchildren: Jeanee (Shaun) Duval, Justin (Kalin) Wallace, Damon L. (Tracy) Peterson, Ebony J. Stuart; 14 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; sisters: Laverne Davis and Mary Grant; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family who will cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mozelle Chivis; brothers: Eugene, Vernon, Edward, Frank, and Donald Chivis; sister, Noma Hardiman; grandson, Antto Montey Harrison. She was a loving mother, devoted wife, and a true friend. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Greater Harvest Missionary Baptist Church (2435 Riordan St., Muskegon). The family will receive visitors on Monday, May 18, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon) and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at church, beginning at 10:00am. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
