Eroda Gertrude Seewald

Roda was born in Muskegon, September 7, 1940 to Howard and Sarah (Knight) Tice and was the oldest of 6. She was a lifelong resident of the Muskegon area and spent many years as a member of Central Assembly of God Church. She married Paul Seewald Mar 7, 1959, and they enjoyed a beautiful life together. They surprised their young children with spontaneous vacation trips to Disney World. Later they enjoyed many fun trips to the Mt. Pleasant Casino and even trips to Las Vegas. She worked at Sears in the children’s department for years, but will always be fondly remembered as a homemaker and mom, known for making amazing meals which were the gathering place for great conversations and family time. Roda will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved this kind, selfless, sweet woman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant daughter Janice in 1960; her husband Paul in 2010; both brothers Sonny Tice, Stan Tice, two sisters Barb LaPres , Sandy Tice.

Roda leaves behind to grieve and miss her; 4 children Lori (Albert) West, Dan (Donna) Seewald, Joni (Mark) Kartes, Bethany (Andrew) Mieczkowski, 3 grandchildren Stacey Lynn (Ted) Lewis, Tyler James Mieczkowski, Mackenzie Grace Mieczkowski, and 2 great granddaughters Eva June Lewis and Beverly Jane Lewis.

Per her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no services.
