Frank J Harkness

Frank J. Harkness, age 87 of Muskegon, passed away suddenly on August 10, 2017.

Frank served his country in the army for 4 years and in the navy for 20 years. During this time, he served in the Korean Conflict. Frank was passionate about local history, and was a frequent contributor to "Muskegon's Memory Lane" on Facebook, where he shared many local stories, discussed local history, and made many friends along the way. Frank loved his family more than anything, and would do anything for them.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and by all of his siblings.

He is survived by his children: Ray (Toni) Harkness, Angie (Jason) Pearce; Granddaughters Felicia, Kaylee, and Madisynn; Great-granddaughters Alizabeth and Alisynn; Many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place according to his wishes, and there will be no formal services.

Arrangements under the direction of Ever Rest Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel, Muskegon, MI.

Ray & Angie, So sorry for your loss. I enjoyed reading cousin Frank's stories on Facebook, He obviously loved his family and his family history stories. It was a joy to read about his Muskegon roots. May God bless your family at this difficult time.

I like so many others Only Knew Frank on FB and enjoyed His Stories Emencely.My understanding from Frank was that He was compiling many of His Stories in preparation for a book to be written.
