Gary M. Pickel, age 53, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014. Gary was born in Muskegon on May 4, 1960 to parents Donald and Belle Pickel. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and playing darts. Gary will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years, Lori Pickel; children: Joshua (Erika) Pickel, Jamie Pickel, Jason (Tiffany) Pickel; grandchildren: Janiah, Josiah, Jarique, Gavin, Ava, Jasper (JJ), and one on the way; brother, Robert Pickel; sister, Debra (Manuel) Sahagun; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; brothers: Donald F. Pickel, Jr.,John Pickel, and one nephew. A funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
