

Gloria attended Muskegon High School and went on to hold several jobs in food service. Her most notable was working as a waitress at the Doo Drop Inn for 35 years. She married the love of her life, David Blamer, and the couple were happily married for 68 years.They would have celebrated 69 years of marriage this September. She and her husband loved to travel and would winter in Florida. They had been ‘snow birds’ for over 30 years. In her free time, Gloria loved to read, play Bingo and Shuffleboard. She was also an avid animal lover, who helped many rescue dogs, and she was a member of the Red Hat Society. Gloria had a very strong faith in the Lord and had been an active member in the Lutheran church for many years. Above all, Gloria was a dedicated wife, loving mother, and devoted grandmother. Family was very important to her and she adored all the time she got to spend with her family. Her warm heart, compassion for others, and deep love of her family will be missed by those closest to her.
Gloria was preceded in death by: parents, Marinus and Beatrice Stoel; parents-in-law, Marshall and Iris Blamer; daughter, Linde Iams; and sons-in-law, Daniel Iams, and Michael “Rhino” Wright.
Gloria is survived by: husband, David Blamer; children, Cindy (Daniel) Jandron, and Julie Wright; grandchildren, Nick, Danielle (Rachel), Chris, Matt (Ashley), and Samantha (Westbrook); 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Roger Stoel, Diane McKeen, and Susan (David) Bialik; as well as, many other extended family members and close friends.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the caring and compassionate staff of Seminole Shores Living Center for the care they gave to Gloria during her stay with them.
A memorial service for Gloria will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11:00 am at Ever Rest Funeral Home, 1783 E. Keating Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442. The family will welcome guests one hour prior to the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Interim Hospice or Noah’s Project.
