Greg was born December 2, 1949, the son of Merle and Hazel Whipple. He served his country proudly in the US Marines. Greg enjoyed gardening, golfing, biking, and bowling. He also enjoyed traveling, and being around his pool. Greg was a hard-working, gentle soul. He was simple and caring, and never let those closest to him leave without telling you he loved you. He will be deeply missed.
Greg is survived by: his wife, Judy; son, Nathan (Carrie) Whipple; step-son, John Rumpel; grandchildren, Collin, Caden, and Christian; sister, Diann Bourgoin; nephew, Michael (Jan) Bourgoin; great nephew, Joseph(Francie Sarna) Bourgoin; and great niece, Taylor Bourgoin.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and brother-in-law, Larry Bourgoin
A celebration of life open house will take place from 1-4pm on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel 1783 E Keating Avenue Muskegon. Military honors will be conducted at 4:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Greg’s name to the Johnson Cancer Center.
