Harold R. Heikkinen age 78 passed away October 12, 2011. Harold was born in Muskegon on July 11, 1933 to the late Richard J. and Mabel (McGruther) Heikkinen. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry in 1971 and two sons, Robert in 1998 and Edward in 2009. Heik retired from GTE. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member at various social clubs in Muskegon, along with being an avid Harley rider and pool player. He played in many leagues around the Muskegon area. Heik is survived by his sister Barb (Dude) Campbell; children, Inez Young, Leon (Amanda) Parker and Harold Heikkinen II; grandchildren, Nick, Jasmine, Eddie, Raven, Destiny, Peyton, and Darcy; great-grandson, Anthony; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2011. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
