Harry Edward Williams, 82, of Norton Shores, Michigan, passed away on June 28, 2026. He was born on October 28, 1943, in Muskegon, Michigan to Terrance and Josephine Williams. Harry was one of four children and was raised in the Muskegon area. He graduated from Muskegon High School around 1961, carrying forward the steady values of home—quiet strength, sincerity, and a grounded way of moving through the world.
After graduation, Harry enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1965 to 1968. Much of his working life was spent as a machinist, a trade that suited his practical skill and patient precision. He was known as someone who could make, fix, and maintain what mattered, and later in life he also served as custodial staff—work he approached with the same dependable care and humility.
In 1993, Harry met his wife, Janey, while playing setback, a pastime they both enjoyed and that became part of the rhythm of their life together. After ten years of dating, Janey and Harry were married in 2003. He cherished time with family, and his presence was often felt in the simple, meaningful moments—shared conversation, familiar routines, and the comfort of being together.
Harry found joy in the everyday: golfing, yard work, and the satisfaction of a task done well. A deeply loyal Lions fan, he stayed true through every season. Above all, he was known for unwavering honesty—someone who would return extra change if given too much—living with a straightforward integrity that never sought attention yet earned lasting respect.
Harry is survived by his wife, Janey Williams; brother, Dick (Peg) Williams; sister, Carolyn Hansen; son, Patrick Williams; daughters, Deana Williams and Karrie Stuberg; stepdaughter, Amy (Ernie) Dutcher; grandchildren, Jace and Madison (Jimmy); and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Dawson, Remmington, Kaydence, Tyler, and Cruz.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Williams; father, Terrance Williams; and brother, Thomas (Lana) Williams.
