

Ione Louise (Groters) Keur, 96, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026, in Shelby Township, Michigan. Ione was born on November 6, 1929, to Edward and Louise (Harmke) Groters in Holland, Michigan.
Ione was a hardworking and driven women. During her 44-year career at Muskegon Bank (now PNC), she started in bookkeeping and worked her way up to teller, then management department, investment loan department, and then became the first female vice president and held that position for 20 years. In April of 1950 she married the love of her life, and childhood sweetheart, Hiram Keur Jr. and the couple spent many wonderful years together until his passing in 2008. She was a member of her work bowling team and loved spending time with her great grandchildren. Ione will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Ione was preceded in death by: husband, Hiram Keur Jr.; daughter, Stefanie Dobberstein; sisters, Norma Van Dyke, and Marlene Garza; and parents, Edward and Louise Groters.
Ione is survived by: grandsons, William (Erin) Dobberstein, and Nicholas Dobberstein; and great granddaughters, Catherine and Vivian Dobberstein.
Ione will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
