

James served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his service, he went on to work at Anderson Bowling for 36 years, and later at Interior Concepts until his retirement. When his family was young, they enjoyed camping and fishing together. James was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Katherine Hitsman, and brother Phillip Hitsman.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 63 years, Eunice;

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone at Sanctuary at the Shore who took such great care of our father. They would also like to thank Hospice of North Ottawa.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be gathering privately at a later date. Arrangements by Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel.
