James "Jim" J. Knill, age 84 of Norton Shores, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. Jim was born on February 23, 1930 to John and Johanna Knill in Muskegon. He retired from Northern Machine and Tool and was a life member of the Moose Lodge 491 and the Muskegon Heights Eagles. Jim was also an avid bowler, loved to go to the casinos and loved riding his bike. Jim is survived by his wife, Margaret; his daughters, Barbara (Cheryl) Swanson, Bonnie (Steve) Nedeau, Janet (Marion) Piasecki, Terri Martin; his son, James (Mary Jo) Knill; his step daughter, Cathy (Rick) Houseman; his step sons, Dave (Pat) Miles, and Brian (Lisa) Miles; 3 grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; his brother, Jack Knill; and his sister Gloria Moore. He is preceded in death by his parents; and step daughter, Shelly Miles. Per Jim's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation will take place and a burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery.
