James A. Weaver, age 78, died Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in Muskegon. He was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church. James is survived by his wife Joan of 60 years, three children, Kirk (Dawn) Weaver, Kathy Robertson and Melvin Weaver, and a “daughter by proxy, Donna”, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two sisters, Lois “Pete” (Dale) Elliott and Pat Daley, two half brothers, Joe (Vicki) Faino and Glenn (Sheryl) Weaver, a half sister, Heidi (Gordon) Laute and a sister in law, Maude Weaver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Rose (Eller) Weaver, a daughter Susan Marie Weaver and one brother, LeRoy Weaver. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, Muskegon on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a visitation one hour prior at the church. Entombment will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leila and Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence, 2065 E. Mt. Garfield Rd. Muskegon, MI. 49444
