James E. Wright, age 85, passed into heaven on Saturday, June 14, 2014. Jim was born in Grand Haven on November 25, 1928 to parents Lyle and Sadie Bernice (Taylor) Wright. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jim retired from Sealed Power Corporation after many years. He was a member of the Fellowship Reformed Church and VFW Post 446. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of ten years, Josie Wright; children: Charles (Lorrine) Wright, Lauretta (Larry) Kalisz, Harold Wright, Nancy (Elmond) Hamilton, John (Joanne) Wright; sisters: Juanita (Jerry) Pearson of Port Orchard, WA, Janice (David Wolf) Hansen; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; special nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by both parents, six brothers, one sister, and late wife, Pauline. A funeral service with full military honors will take place at 12:00pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon) on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Pastor Greg VanderMeer officiating. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 10:00am until the time of service. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice in Jim’s name.
