Janet was born November 4th, 1932 in Gay, West Virginia to Virgil and Orlie Morris. She was raised on a farm with her parents and 10 siblings. Janet attended Moody Bible Institute where she met husband, Clifford R. Lones. They were married January 17th, 1954. The Lord blessed Clifford and Janet with six children.
Janet was extremely devoted to God and her family. She selflessly and unconditionally spent over 45 years caring for her disabled daughter until her death in 2013. Janet demonstrated her love through baking your special dessert, homemade ice cream, never forgetting to send a birthday card, piano lessons for her grandchildren and in many other ways. She expressed her love in serving the needs of others.
Janet loved God and had a heart for ministry. She spent over 40 years in church ministry with Clifford serving in several churches. She and Clifford worked well together having a fruitful ministry for Christ. Even while caring for 6 children, (and Rachel’s special needs), Janet lead the AWANA Program, Children’s Church, Vacation Bible School, and Choir ministry. She will be remembered as a prayer warrior who genuinely believed in the power of prayer.
While the world will miss her strong-will, devotion, love, guidance and tender heart, her family and friends are comforted knowing that she is heaven with her Lord and Savior.
