
Janet E. Wohlfard, age 82, went into the arms of her Lord on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Janet was born in Muskegon on July 17, 1932 to parents Theodore and Emma (Gregory) LaRue. She attended Muskegon Heights High School. Janet worked as ward secretary at Mercy Hospital. She attended Orchard View Congregational Church and Life Circles and resided at Sanctuary at McAuley. She enjoyed many things like traveling and taking care of her plants, but she most enjoyed spending time with her family. Janet will be lovingly remembered by her children: Sharon (Richard) Brilliant of Sun Lakes, AZ, Sandy Lindsay, Shelley (David) Ogren, Scott Wohlfard; grandchildren: Jeff Lindsay, Melissa (Chris) Silver, Phillip, Eric, and Mitchell Mattson, Marisa and Mick Wolhfard, Steve Brilliant, Diane (Keith) Flatt; four great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Dawn) LaRue; sister-in-laws: Barbara LaRue, Beverly June (Arthur) Hilton, Bonnie Karafa; brother-in-laws: Fred Unger, Max (Ruth) Wolhfard, Joe Wahlen, and many other family members. She was preceded in death by husband, Arnold Wohlfard; son-in-laws: Brian Lindsay, Andrew Mattson; sisters: Barbara Unger, Mary Lou Wahlen; brother, Jimmy LaRue; in-laws: Charles (Edna) Wohlfard. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Orchard View Congregational Church (2175 Marquette Ave., Muskegon) with Pastor Tom Beetham officiating. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 6:00-8:00pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon) and again on Monday at the church, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00am. Interment at Mona View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Life Circles – PACE Organization, Orchard View Congregational Church, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
