Jeffrey Alan Butler, age 63, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025, in Muskegon, Michigan. Born on March 29, 1962, in Muskegon to Robert William Butler and Mary A. (Bowson) Butler, Jeff was a lifelong resident of the area.
Jeff’s journey began at Whitehall Public Schools, leading him to explore various industrial jobs throughout his life. He had a passion for 80s music and classic rock and roll that reflected his vibrant spirit. More importantly, he was renowned for his generous heart—always ready to help those in need. His kindness and easygoing nature inspired many, and he will be deeply remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jeff is survived by his loving mother, Mary Ann Crough; his beloved children, Shantel (Rick) Mahon and Tiffany (Clay) Kittinger; his siblings, Sharon Nwosu, Margie Barner, Bobby Crough, Jamie Crough, and Doug Crough; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert William Butler.
In keeping with Jeff's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor and remember his life.
