Jordan was born March 26, 1999, the son of Amy Backensto and Kevin Toman. He attended Fruitport Schools and a short one year at Muskegon Heights High School. He was an active man who enjoyed everything outdoors, including fishing, dirt biking, bonfires, and camping. He was a country boy who lived in the city. Jordan was a caring, big-hearted man who always had your back. He will be deeply missed.
Jordan is survived by: his parents, Kevin (Wendy England) Toman, Amy (Chris Ahumada) Backensto; fiancé, Hailey Crowell; former step-mother, Crystal Bridenstine; sisters, Julianna, Jayelah, Jenna Bridenstine, Destiny, Dasia, and Devin; grandparents, Annette and Ronald Krehn, Robert Toman, Jeffery Backensto; great-grandparents, Bill and Janette Krehn; aunts, Tammy, Casey (Chris), Christina, and Maria (Gene); uncles, Jason, Jeffery, Steven (Amanda); cousins, Aaliyah and Axel, along with many others; and best friends, Darrion, aka Diego, and Sammie and many other close friends.
He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Vicki Backensto, great-grandparents, John and Lou Sherwood, and Stanley and Gertrude Kotecki; and cousin, Brooklyn Vanderstelt.
A celebration of his life will take place at 1:00PM on Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Fruitport Eagles, 3354 Dangl road. A luncheon will take place following the service.
