She was a graduate of North Muskegon High School. On March 25, 1961 Judie married Thomas Charles Mackey in El Paso, TX. She was a founding member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and retired from Muskegon Public Schools.
Judie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and rarely missed any of their activities. She especially loved watching her sons and grandsons play hockey. She and Thomas enjoyed spending summers with the family at their "lakehouse" on Ford Lake in Fountain.
Judie is survived by her three children, Dale Mackey (Tammy), Brenda Compeau (Craig), and Scott Mackey (Andrea); Grandchildren, Thomas Mackey (Michelle), Angela Bonter (Chris), Ryan Compeau, Erin Mackey (fiancé Chris Mitchell), and Scott Mackey; Great-Grandchildren, Grayson Shelton, Oliver Mitchell, Vera and Bennett Bonter; Sister, Jackie McLain; and Brother, Gerald Knoll Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas on April 12, 2020.
Per Judie's request, no funeral or visitation will be held. A private burial will take place at a later date at Laketon Township Cemetery.
