Judy Ann DuShane

Judy was born August 29, 1940 in Muskegon to Garrett and Violet (Rose) Kempker and was a lifelong resident of the area. She married Phil DuShane on August 9, 1969 and enjoyed 50 years of marriage before his passing in 2019. She retired after 45 years from Lift Tech (formerly Dresser/Shaw Box Crane and Hoist).

Judy also was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Emma Gavin, Kirk Kempker and Diane Kempker and brother-in-laws Bill DuShane, Bob Dobyns, Rodger DuShane and Dan Gavin.

She is survived by her 3 sons Nick (Tracy) DuShane, Rodney (Cari) DuShane, Brett (Michelle) DuShane; grandchildren Nikole, Logen, Rylee, Colton, Nicole, Brieanna, Jordyn & Summer; great-grandson - Tony; siblings Gail Dobyns, Sam Kempker, and Gary (Cindy) Kempker; sister-in-law Cyndi DuShane, brother-in-law Gary (Margaret) DuShane and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Christian Care Memory Center for the love and support they gave our mom while in their care for the last 3+ years.

As per Judy’s request, no services are planned. Burial will take place at a later date, at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, to inter the remains of both her and Phil.
