Born on February 28, 1943, in Shelby, Michigan, June was the daughter of Garrit and Nina (Buttelman) Westfield. From a young age, June had a deep love for animals—especially dogs—and was known for her gentle spirit and willingness to care for any creature in need.
June found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved working on puzzles and crosswords, always keeping her mind sharp and hands busy. She also had a unique fondness for doing laundry, finding peace in the routine and care it involved.
June was a kind-hearted woman who always offered help where it was needed and extended warmth to everyone she met.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Joyce Smith, four stepchildren, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and cherished friends.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
June will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
