I was surprised to hear of Karen's passing.  My sympathy goes out to her family.  We know you are in a better place and without pain now.  If you see Pat Cook and Linda Hall please tell them hello. We miss all of you who were taken from us much too soon.  God Bless you Karen.

So saddened by the loss of such a kind-hearted person.  Many times Karen would be the first person I would see at school in the morning.  She "always" greeted you with a smile and kind word.  In conversation it was evident how proud she was of you Shawn and Shannon and her precious grand daughter.  May God comfort and strengthen you during this difficult time with all the loving memories of your mother.  We know that because of Christ she is not only your past, but your future.

Karen I miss you so much. I was thinking of our plan's to get together over the Christmas break. I will never forget you. You always looked out for everyone else then yourself. Shannon and Shawn you had the best mom and she loved you very much.

Mom, I just wanted to say I love you very much and miss you so much. You were a wonderful Mom and Friend. I wish Jaslynn could have seen what a great person you were. We talk about you every day and I have so many things from you that I tell her Grandma Karen gave her. We all Love you, I know you are in a better place and some day we will all see you again. Words can not express how deeply sorry we are. Karen was a very special sister-in-law, we had many fun times together. Karen loved being a mother and truly lived for her family. She had a special way with children and the elderly. Karen was a very kind and giving person. Looking back brings smiles to our faces, she had such a keen sense of humor and cleaver wit. We loved and will miss Karen very much. The memories of Karen will forever live in our hearts. Our deepest sympathy.

Karen was such a giving person. She had a way of making everyone feel important.  Shawn & Shannon, your mom loved you so much.  She will always be in you hearts and the hearts of others she touched.

I will never forget Karen’s generosity.  Being best friends with Shannon growing up, I was welcomed into her home and treated like a daughter! I will never forget Karen as she and I shared many concert's. Even with all her pain she was always there for anyone if they needed something.I'll never forget her and Alex at the pool and she came over to talk with me as I was new to going to the pool. To the family no words can express your loss but just know I will be thinking of you at this time...

I was deeply saddened when I learned of Karen's passing.  I had her niece in my class several years ago and Karen was a frequent helper in my classroom.  She was always willing to help and went the extra mile whenever she could.  If she saw a child without a scarf or hat, she would go purchase one for them.  She may have been small in stature, but she had an enormous heart.  Her passing is a tremendous loss to the Orchard View Community.
