Kenneth “Kenny” Edward Primmer, Jr. passed away very unexpectedly on October 28th, 2020 in Grand Rapids Michigan as the result of an auto accident. Kenny was a tattoo artist who was set to open his own tattoo shop, called “Primm and Proper Custom Tattoos and Piercings” in Grand Haven, Michigan. The shop is still set to open November 1st, so his dream will live on.
Kenny was a talented athlete and played youth sports and carried this throughout his career at Oakridge High School, from where he graduated in June 1999. Kenny was an amazing artist, a gifted musician, and on top of that he was extremely comedic. It was impossible to be sad in Kenny’s presence.
Kenny is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Shondra Primmer, sisters Korin Primmer and Kendra Calkins, and brother Korey (Traci) Primmer; Grandparents Paul and Carol Baade; Aunts and Uncles Don and Marg Deboef, David and Karen Primmer, Jack and Lesli Houghton, and Christopher and Lori Baade; Aunt Shelly Primmer, girlfriend Lela Underwood, and her parents Ron and Deb Mudgett; and several cousins. Uncle Kenny will especially be missed by his eleven nieces and nephews, as he was their #O-N-E Uncle and will be for eternity: Presley, Payleigh, Paige, Jullian, Jayson, Paul, Kennedy, Kalvin, Londyn, Lawson, and Tegan.
Kenny was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Beverly Primmer and Etta Johnson, grandparents Mike and Mari Fazakerley, and Uncles Jeffery Primmer and Alan Davis.
Kenny was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
“A heart that is planted in forgiveness does not dwell in the past” – Love, Mom, Dad, Korin, Kendra, and Korey.
