Lloyd was a member of Olivet Evangelical Free Church. He retired from Consumers Power after 36 years of service, and was a veteran of United States Merchant Marine, serving during World War II. Lloyd was a man of God who cherished his family, and had a great sense of humor that everyone enjoyed.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his daughter Karen Scheffels; and a sister Jackie Landwer.
Surviving are his wife Darlene Johnson Swain Sarasin; children Lloyd Jr (Becky) Sarasin and Markelle Smith; son-in-law Milo Scheffels; Darlene’s children Brad (Korinne) Swain, Jodi (Joe) McCormack, and Gary (Sue) Swain; grandchildren, Shaudine (Stan) Woody, Kristen (Graydon) Snow, Kari (Justin) Rollon, Tyron (Geniver) Smith, Annette (Adam) Lange, Trent Sarasin, Blair (Matt) Zarb, Steven McCormack, Noah (Courtney) Swain, Emily (Mark) Robbins, Adam (Casey) Swain, Kaia Swain, Gary Swain Jr.; many great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be 11:00am Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Olivet Evangelical Free Church, 6790 Harvey St., Spring Lake.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 15, from 10:00am until the time of the services at Olivet Church.
