Lois Marie McClain was born on June 23, 1920 in Stanton to the late Lester and Roba (Jennings) Nash. Lois was raised in Muskegon and graduated from Muskegon High School in 1938. She attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and worked at Anaconda during World War II. She and her husband lived in Grand Rapids from the 1950’s until 2003. Lois has lived in Muskegon since 2003 so she could be closer to her family. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest “Ernie” McClain; two sisters, Ione (Clarence) Hittle and Minnie (Joseph) Hittle. She is survived by a sister, JoAnn (Edward) Dratz; several nieces and nephews and many friends including her dear friend, Cindy Ritter. Lois and Ernie were avid gardeners and faithful members of Faith Fellowship Church in Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel at 11:00 on Thursday, April 15, 2010 with Pastors Ron Diehl and John Romanosky officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Interment will be next to her husband Ernie in Parkview Cemetery, Grant, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
