Lonnie was an avid golfer and bowler, enjoyed going to casinos, classic cars, and especially spending time with his family. Not one to sit idle, he taught himself how to repair almost anything from auto engines, car restoration, home remodel, and construction. One of the biggest lessons he learned was you could never make too many trips to Lowe’s! You could always count on him to lend a helping hand if you needed one. In his younger years, Lonnie was a part time firefighter and a certified butcher. He retired after 45 years from American Coil Spring and then worked part time for Rowerdink delivering auto parts.
He is survived by his wife, Debra, of seventeen years, three daughters, Shelly (Marvin) Lorenz, Holly (Kevin)Hunter, and Suzanne Hunter, three sons, Lonnie Harp, Bob (Wendie) Harp, and Mike Hunter, a sister, Sharon Perysian, special friend, Barb Kuiper, a brother, Donald (Rick) Harp, eighteen grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alan Harp, and former wife, Barbara.
