Mrs. Lorrene Ellen Spier, age 83, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019 in Muskegon. She was born in Muskegon on October 23, 1935 to Arthur and Mary (Parker) Schulz. Lorrene loved cooking for her family; her potato salad and her gravy were legendary. She enjoyed traveling and dining out with the love of her life, Buzz. On June 28, 1957, Lorrene married Edward (Buzz) Spier and he survives her, along with their children, Julie (Joseph) Laurenzano, Jerry Spier, and Edward (Nancy) Spier; 4 grandchildren, Matt (Kaytlin) Siemen, Valerie (Jason) Kropf, Brian (Alicia) Spier, and Lisa Siefert; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Lee (Kathy) Schulz; sister, Mary Anne Riters; and by many much-loved aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joan Okerlund, and her daughter-in-law, Debra. A interment service will be held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Chapel on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 11:00am. MEMORIALS in Lorrene's memory may be directed to Harbor Hospice of Muskegon.

There's a beautiful family reunion taking place with Grandma and Grandpa Schulz, my Mom (Joan Okerlund), my Dad, Carl, brother Jeff Aunt Lorrene and Debbie. Aunt Lorrene's laugh, smile, creativity, hospitality and encouragement will always be remembered and cherished.

I am so sorry I could not make it to her service ! I loved her smile & laugh she was alway's so sweet and the last time I saw her was at Aunt Ollie's Service . And now her and Uncle Fred & Aunt Ollie and my parent's Cliff & Lois Willea are sitting around the table drinking coffee and telling stories of the past . Love & Miss You ALL

Aunt Lorrene's hugs were the best! She always wanted to know what the new "hip" thing was :). She told me last time she saw me she would give my grandma (Ollie Spier) a hug for me. Thank you for that. I love you! Fly high Auntie
