

Louis Bunts, age 66 of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in Grand Rapids. He was born on May 30, 1949 in Muskegon to Doby and Clemmie Bunts. Louis proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1966-1969. During his military career, he made many accomplishments. He earned his Marksman Badge, Conduct Medal, Purple Heart Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Louis worked many years for the US Postal Service as a mail sorter. He was a devout Baptist, and he loved to fish, repair computers, further his education and to learn to do new things. Louis was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Ladon Louis Bunts; his brother, Larry Bunts; and his brother-in-law, Richard Hughey. He is survived by his daughters, Angela and Carlita Bunts; his sister, Gentry Hughey; his brother, Charles (Pat) Stanford; his aunt, Dorothy Stroggins; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A memorial service for Louis will be on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 1pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel; 1783 E. Keating Ave. in Muskegon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
