Lyle was born in Sault St. Marie, Michigan on November 23, 1940. He served his country in the United States Army for 10 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing over the years.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and by his mother and father-in-law.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sharon (Terryn) Horton; Son David and Susie Horton of Twin Lake; Granddaughter Melissa Horton of Muskegon; Sister Tena and Peter Twork of Baldwin; Sister Louise Wargo of Florida; Brother Dean Horton of Iowa; Brother-in-law Raymond (Barb) Terryn, Roger (Karin) Terryn; Sisters-in-law Sheila (Dave) Quillen, Carol Bush.
The family would like to thank Marlene Gilland for taking such good care of them, and Harbor Hospice for all that they did for Lyle.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 15, 2017, at the Egelcraft Mobile Home Park Community Center at 12:00pm. There will be a lunch to follow.
