Marilyn Segelstrom

January 4, 1939- August 19, 2023

Marilyn Jane Segelstrom (age 84) born January 4, 1939 went to be with the Lord peacefully at home on August 19, 2023.Born in Saginaw, MI to George (Mary) Neuhaus and Violet (LaVerne) Speers. She later moved to Muskegon, MI where she married Robert (Bob) James Segelstrom Sr. She was an active member of Black Creek Bible Church. She enjoyed trips to the casino, shopping, gospel & country music, singing karaoke, her kitties, collecting angels, and spending time with her family & friends. She especially enjoyed spoiling her family at Christmas.

She is survived by her four children, Rebecca (Michael) Mills, Racinda “Syndi” (Rafael Rivera) Segelstrom, Robert “Rob” (Nicole) Segelstrom, and Rhonda Segelstrom. Nine grandchildren, Michael Goodin, Kari Ann Garlock, Matthew & Brandin Hichue, Walter “Wally” Schenck, Amanda (Sara) Baxter, Madison (Fiance Kyle Goudzwaard) Segelstrom, Kennedy (Kyle Light) Segelstrom, and Jaden Rivera. Her special friends Darlene Cunningham, Doug Carrier, Bob Borrin and her angel on earth, Nadine Geiger.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, her beloved companion Donald “Skip” McLeod, her 2 brothers LaVerne Jr (Connie) and Gerald Speers, and 3 sisters Betty Doyd, Elanor Collins, and Shirley Cross.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Bush will be held at 12 pm Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Black Creek Bible Church 2651 Heights Ravenna Road, Muskegon, MI 49444. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service, 11am – 12pm at the church, luncheon to follow.
