Mynah Dawn LaRue went to Jesus on September 22, 2023 at age 90.
Dawn was born to Ardie and Nina Rose on August 4, 1933 in Muskegon, MI. She graduated from Grant High School, where she was a Majorette.
Dawn married Richard “Dick” LaRue, her lifelong soulmate, on July 18, 1953 at the Church of Christ in Grant, MI. They settled in Fruitport and lived there for the rest of their life. They welcomed three girls into their little family: Diane, Julie, and Lisa. She retired from Punches Grocery.
Dawn had a Christian heart with good deeds and love to all her family, friends, and extended family. She and Dick were members of Evanston Ave Church of Christ and later Shoreline Church of Christ. Members there, were members of their Christian family. Mom’s favorite bible verse was “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13.
She will always be remembered for her loving care, quick smile, and flash of red hair.
Dawn is survived by her children Diane Grill, Julie LaRue, and Lisa (Randy) Lipka; grandchildren- Richard, Jamie, Terri, Elizabeth, Cearra, and Nicholas. “Great grands”- Kevin, McKalia, Damein, Jeremiah, and Kyran. Great-great grandkids- Atticus and Arkaydeus. Her “special children”- Willard & Sharon Dill and Don Gray. And her special friends, Freda Graves, Sally Travis, and Pam Pylkas.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Dick and her son-in-law Ronald Grill.
The family would like to thank the staff at Seminole Shores. She loved her caregivers. We would also like to thank Careline Hospice for their guidance.
