Nancy Lou Terpstra

Nancy was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and also worked for several years as a lunch lady a Nelson School. She married her love, Raymond Terpstra, in August of 1955, and the couple spent many wonderful years together until his passing in 2016. She was a devoted wife and mother. Nancy was very involved in all of her kids' activities and was a member of the PTA. She was also a lifelong member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and the American Legion. Nancy was also a parishioner of Harvest Church. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, quilting, sewing, and knitting. She was a fun, loving, and caring woman who will be dearly missed.

Nancy was preceded in death by: husband, Raymond Terpstra; parents, Raymond and Maxine Chantrene; granddaughter-in-law, Kelly; siblings, Beverly Burton, Yvonna (Wallace) Malone, and Barton (Marion) Chantrene; as well as other extended family members.

Nancy is survived by: children, Rick Terpstra, Barb (Charles) Thompson, Robert (Debra) Terpstra, and Jim (Becky) Terpstra; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and special friends, Chris & Steve Jones, and Lisa Poore & her family.

In accordance with Nancy's wishes, cremation will take place, and she will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Fort Custer National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Age Well Services, The Muskegon Rescue Mission, or The Red Cross.
