Known to family and friends as Nancy, she was born on October 26, 1935, in Newark, New Jersey, to Erich Emil and Ruth Madeline (Jacobus) Schulte. She married Forrest Farrin in 1956, and a year later, they made their home in Muskegon, where their life’s journey truly began. They raised a beautiful family of six children — a family that meant the world to them, and Nancy loved her children “to the moon and back.”
Family meant everything to Natalie, who dedicated herself to nurturing and showering each member with love. As the family’s glue, she embodied kindness and brought everyone together. Her passion for reading, sewing, crafting, knitting, and handiwork showcased her resourcefulness and creativity. She enjoyed various online games, especially “Words with Friends” with family and friends, and was a challenging competitor. Sundays were a cherished celebration in her home, filled with delicious food, fun, and the creation of lasting memories with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Every other Friday afternoon, she gathered with her siblings to play cards or dominoes and share memories, which became a cherished tradition.
Natalie leaves behind, with heavy hearts, her children: Dianne (Joe) Lihan, David (Judy) Farrin, Toni Jo (Scott) Nesbit, and Linda (David) Aman; her son-in-law Robert Bultema; her treasured grandchildren: Joshua Pugh, Bethany Ahrens, Jennifer Beyrle, Michael Lihan, Katy Lihan, Alicia Rottman, Andrea Anthes, Evan Bultema, and Baylee Bultema; many great-grandchildren; her sister, Cassandra Gomez; her brothers, Erich Schulte and Paul (Diane) Schulte; and countless family members and friends.
Natalie is reunited with her parents, husband, son Dale Farrin, daughter Tracy Bultema, grandson Richie Ahrens, sisters: Shirley Beebe and Audrey Thorstein, and brother William Schulte.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date.
Natalie’s kindness, warmth, and loving spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
