

Norman D Dagen, Sr. passed away at home, following a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Norman was born in Muskegon, to Vernon Charles Dagen Sr (1912 – 1957) and Elsie Gertrude Gauthier (1914 – 2004). Norman graduated from Muskegon High School, where he was active in football, basketball and baseball. He was employed by Brunswick Corporation of Muskegon for 45 years, until he retired in 1997. Norman’s siblings who have preceded him: Brothers, Robert E. (1927 – 1998), Vernon C., Jr. (1931 – 1989) and sister, Beverly M. Dobberstein (1934 – 2006). Norman is survived by his immediate family; Wife, Joyce (Booker). Kevin and Julie (Boersma) Dagen, Norman Dagen, Jr. and Craig Weisse; Three grandchildren, in whom he held great pride; Erik, Seth and Lindsay Dagen. Extended family: Bruce Latsch, Robin, Heather and Naline Dagen, Harry and Jackie Booker Jr., Pamela (Booker) Mahn, Sandy (Booker) Chase, Lori (Dagen) Volkmann, Leisa (Schumacher) Onslow, Denise (Dagen) Koekkoek, Linda (Dagen) Hawkins, Janice Dagen, Barry Dagen, Bradley Dagen, Sheryl (Schumacher) Duque, David and James Dobberstein. Jean (Holtz) Dagen, June (Latsch) Dagen and Sharon (Booker) Meyers. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in downtown Muskegon, on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11:00 am.
