Pamela May Cheyne, age 64 of Fruitport Michigan, arrived to heaven's garden surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 22, 2018. She was born to Robert and Rosetta Johnson on December 23, 1953.
Pam married her husband, Floyd Cheyne, in July 17, 2004. She loved doing craft shows with him during the summer months in Michigan. Winter months were spent together in Arizona riding around on her golf cart, decorating for the holidays, and enjoying many wonderful dinners with friends. She loved him dearly.
Pamela was CNA for many years before retirement. She had a love of animals and was a wildlife rehabilitator. She volunteered her time with the American Red Cross to help with hurricane disaster relief. Pam’s flower gardens were something she looked forward to starting every spring and were
quite the sight to behold.
Of every great and wonderful thing Pam has done in her life, she was especially proud to be a mother of her 3 children. She raised them with all the love she could possibly give and more. She made every holiday special for them, especially Christmas. Cookies took over their kitchen at that time of year, and she made sure they always had their abundance of sweets. As her grandchildren started to arrive she carried out these traditions with all of her grandbabies. All the grandchildren knew Grandma’s house had the goodies. She loved to cook and bake for her family, and special occasions, get togethers always included her baked beans and famous cherry cheesecake.
A wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Pamela May Cheyne was all of these and more. She is loved and will be dearly missed. Until we all meet again. Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rosetta Johnson, and her sisters, Jean Johnson and Candy Poulin.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Floyd Cheyne. Her sisters, Sheryl (Mike) Fernandes and Irene Johnson.
