Pamela Adene Paquin

Pam Paquin (Olson) passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026. She was born on June 7, 1949, at Hackly Hospital. She attended Muskegon Catholic Central High School and worked many years at Muskegon Piston Ring. In the mid 70s, Pam and (then husband) Jerry took in exchange students and eventually a foster child, George. In the late 80s, Pam returned to school to study electronics, earning an associate degree at Muskegon Community College, before going to work for many years at Lift Tech. In the late 90s Pam served as owner at the Rendezvous in Grand Haven, a position and place that she loved. Upon retiring, she moved to McAllen Texas for a while, where she filled her time quilting with her sister and working as a school bus driver. Upon returning to Michigan, she continued to spend time crafting and worked part time at Old Boys Brewhouse and later Motion Dynamics. When her health declined, Pam joined the community at Robbinswood Assisted Living, where she would use her free time to visit the area's stores and do crafts. Pam had a passion for working with her hands and making beautiful things. She had a work ethic that could not be denied. Pam found peace in animals -especially dogs, quilting, and later in life found joy in diamond art. She could wire a house and baked the best pies. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Pam was preceded in death by: father, Charles Olsen; stepfather, Lou Dougherty; mother, Barbara York; brother, Francis (Connie) Dubois; and sister, Amelia (Ray) Leonard.

Pam is survived by : her three children, Rene (Joel Kuchan) Paquin, Dan (Louise) Paquin, Sara (Mike) Jacquemin; and two stepchildren, Ron Paquin and Lisa (Michael) Lutz.

Known by many as Auntie, Pam was very close to her niece, Teri Freye and great-nieces and nephews Angel, Michael, and Maranda.

Perhaps her favorite title was Grandma. Pam was “Grandma Pam” to many in spite of relation-especially Tia, Nikki, Adrianna, Jasmine, Gavin, Graham, Julian, and several great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life is being held on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at the Elks Lodge in Grand Haven. 15 S. 3rd Street, Grand Haven, MI 49417.
